Deuteronomy 18:20-22 - Speaking From Pride

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which Yahwah hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of Yahwah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Yahwah hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."

Thoughts: Let's break down the words before exploring the significance of how all this relates to "Pastors Prophecying Lies."

Persume (H2102) = זִיד    זוּד / zûd    zı̂yd / zood, zeed = A primitive root; to seethe; figuratively to be insolent: - be proud, deal proudly, presume, (come) presumptuously, sod.

Presumptuously (H2087) = זָדוֹן / zâdôn / zaw-done' = From H2102; arrogance: - presumptuously, pride, proud (man).

Anyone who dares to speak for Yahwah must not let pride in their heart. Let's dive deeper into Word before moving forward.

Jeremiah 14:14 - The Evil Roots Of Pastors Prophecying Lies

"Then Yahwah said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart."

Thoughts: What was the root of the issue of the false prophets in Israel that Jeremiah was referring to? Their hearts were deceived (Jeremiah 17:9). If their hearts were perfect before Yahwah, would they have ever prophesied falsely, would they have ever prophesied at all?

Ezekiel 13:1-9 - Prophecying Out Of Their Own Hearts

"And the word of Yahwah came unto me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of Yahwah; Thus saith Adonai Yahwah; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of Yahwah. They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, Yahwah saith: and Yahwah hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, Yahwah saith it; albeit I have not spoken? Therefore thus saith the Adonai Yahwah; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Adonai Yahwah. And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am Adonai Yahwah."

Thoughts: Where did the false prophets, or for today, "Pastors Prophecying Lies" prophecy from? "Their own hearts!"

Matthew 7:13-17 - Pastors Prophecying Lies Come In Sheep's Clothing

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit."

Thoughts: Outwardly, "Pastors Prophecying Lies" looks and sounds pleasant to our natural eyes and ears, but are their hearts perfect before Yahwah? What is the motive? Is it about them, or is it all about Him? We must be careful about who we follow as a leader. The only one we truly need to follow is Yahwah by the power of His Holy Spirit that lies within us.

A Warning To "Pastors Prophecying Lies"

There are many "Pastors Prophecying Lies" in the churches today. They do not seek the face of Yahwah to know what He wants said. They would rather tickle ears than preach the truth (2 Timothy 4:2-4). They look to fill their church seats instead of having it full of the presence of Yahwah. They promote their own name instead of the Name above every name. They care more about their own ministry instead of ministering to their flock, no matter the sacrifice it takes. They take the people's money and stash it in their pockets instead of looking to the one who provides our every need. They preach a broad prosperity Gospel instead of the straight and narrow way of being a Holy people unto Yahwah.

If you prophecy things that come to pass, but yet you care about yourself, your ministry, your reputation, and your Kingdom instead of sacrificing it all for the kingdom of Yahwah, then you are still a false prophet. The people in your congregation are more saved than you are. It's time to repent and set your heart completely on Yahwah. Humble yourself before Him and remove pride from your heart. Speak what He wants spoken, no matter the cost. If we're not prepared to lose everything we love to love Him the most, then we have no place in Him; there is no truth in us, and the words spoken are empty.

A Message To All Church Goers

To those who read this who are not in this kind of position or have not ever prophesied, listen to your Elohim before you listen to your Pastor. Your pastor cannot take the place of Yahwah within your heart. To do so is idolatry. Exalt the Name of Yahwah over the name of your Pastor. Look to Yahwah for your Salvation. Your Pastor cannot save you. Ask Yahwah to be your Shepherd in leading and guiding you in every area of your life. Talk to Yahwah more than you talk to anyone. Set no man in the place of Yahwah, in any way. Look for humility over charisma in a leader, but let the Holy Spirit of Yahwah lead you before all flesh. Run away from "Pastors Prophecying Lies" out of their own heart and do not speak after the heart of Yahwah.

The prophets in the Word of Yahwah were meek and humble. Moses, whom Yahwah spoke to face to face, was the meekest man on the earth (Numbers 12:3). Ahab and Jezebel hunted Elijah, Jeremiah was the weeping Prophet, Daniel was cast in a lion's den, and almost all the disciples were murdered for their faith. I could go on. If you set your heart on Yahwah and walk perfectly before Him, then speak the words He gives you, humbly, in reverence of who you are speaking on behalf of. Once you know His voice and speak His Word in this way, I do not believe He will ever let your words fail, because it is His Word. Once they do come to pass, give Him all the glory.

Not jesus, or any "shua" name such as yeshua, yahshua etc. Take His Name in baptism as Peter preached in Acts chapter 2.
